Mission

To provide sports related programs and activities for school aged youth and their families to promote social, moral and physical well-being. Aiming to develop more future community leaders than professional athletes by instilling integrity, values, and morals in our athletes.

Notes from the nonprofit

At the Warriors Institute, we believe a Warrior is one on and off the field. Courage, Honor, Integrity, skill and hard work are the foundation for a life of high moral character and for the successful preparation to battle the challenges of life. We seek to instill these values in our athletes. We feel that it is our privilege to get to work with your child, and that is a responsibility that our instructors do not take lightly. It takes a dedicated and talented coach to provide the right blend for having fun, athlete development, and winning! Finally, we pray that you will embrace that the true goal of Warriors Institute, is not just to "win a ballgame". Our vision is to use the game of baseball, and all sports, as a vehicle to learn valuable life lessons through hard work, goal setting, and sportsmanship.

What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

We aim to address the general issues of "select or travel" baseball and other sports. Those issues being: organizations ran for pure financial gain therefore putting a financial burden on those families, programs seeking talent for just that specific season rather than develop kids from K-12+, and athletes being turned away because their skill level is not up to par with others--even when their desire to play is strong.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

The WARRIORS INSTITUTE OF FITNESS AND SPORTS, as well as WARRIORS BASEBALL ACADEMY, aims to ease the financial burden that is so regularly associated with "select and travel" sports. We are striving to provide top-notch, professional instruction to athletes of all calibers that have a strong desire to compete and participate. Also, we want our athletes to see the results of hard work and determination, therefore, we want to create a platform that puts these athletes in-front of high school, collegiate and professional coaches and scouts, in an effort to gain recognition of their hard work that may land them on the varsity squad, collegiate scholarship or even a professional contract. Lastly, we aim to develop more future community leaders than professional athletes that leave our program that have exemplary characteristics such as integrity, values, morals and great attitudes.

At WARRIORS INSTITUTE OF FITNESS AND SPORTS, as well as WARRIORS BASEBALL ACADEMY, our strategies for accomplishing our goals starts with hiring and allowing only the top-tier, accredited and capable instructors and team members to work within the reigns of the Warriors Institute. We thoroughly check the backgrounds of all of our instructors in order to assure they can and will provide only the best teaching, coaching and life lessons to our athletes.

The individuals that we coach leave our program having been developed into young professionals ready to serve the public and community not only as participants but as leaders. That being said, we aim to establish a type of "give-and-get" situation within our own community. We rely on the good will and philanthropy of local businesses that make it possible for us to offer these services to young athletes at a competitive, yet reasonable price-point.

To ensure our players leave our program groomed for future excellence, we do a few things. First, even though it is not required, we run a "grade check" concurrent of their school's report cards to ensure they are taking care of the single most important part of a young person's development--their education. We also offer a "community service" scholarship for our athletes to apply for at the end of the year. This ensures our players are getting out and being productive in their community. Another thing we do is during team dinners, we have our players leave, or turnoff, their cellphones, which creates an interaction of real conversation that allows them to talk and get to know their teammates and coaches that is being lost in today's time due to technology.

We take pride in not only the development of character, but in our athletes obtaining their goals and dreams of taking their athletic performance to the next level. We set out to maximize their exposure to high school, collegiate and professional coaches and scouts by only participating in worthy, top-notch, proven and highly competitive events.

The vision and mission of the WARRIORS INSTITUTE OF FITNESS AND SPORTS is delivered in our 11,000 sq. ft. indoor training facility that was built in 2008. The all turf indoor facility, primarily used for baseball, is one of the finest training facilities of its kind in the Houston area with our large, all-turf, training ground. Located at 1-10 and Beltway 8, this ideal location provides services to athletes from Katy ISD, Spring Branch ISD, Cy-Fair ISD, Fort bend ISD, Houston ISD, and other local schools.

Our indoor training facility, primarily used for baseball, allows players to train in comfort and beat the heat with our 10-ton air conditioning unit, as well as the ability to turn up the heat during the winter months. When athletic fields in the Houston area become unplayable due to rain or lighting, the Warriors facility allows for around the clock practice and training.

In 2018, we added a 2,500 sq. ft. weight room that has brand new equipment, as well as, the addition of a NASM certified trainer. Certified in: Performance Enhancement Specialist, Corrective Exercise Specialist and Fitness Nutrition Specialist. The addition includes multiple full workout racks, exercise bikes, free weights, benches, challenge rope, bands and a training table.

Our facility can be opened up for a wide "field-like" setting giving athletes the ability to work on Base Running, Ground Balls, Pitching, Live Hitting, etc., or it can be transformed into an 8.5 lane baseball hitting area. Along with various tools and toys, we have multiple turfed pitching mounds, radar guns and a large "classroom" that allows us to give our baseball players real time data, visuals and game like scenarios.

Another benefit is our tremendous reach and network that we have developed over the years. Having over 5,000+ past and present families in our email database and a vast network of collegiate coaches.

With an ideal facility coped with professional and proven instructors, we can assure that everything an athlete needs to take their game to the next level is provided.

Since being established in 2010, the Warriors organization has trained thousands of athletes and we are proud to say that we have helped over 150 baseball players get noticed and play at the collegiate level. We have also had two Major League Baseball draft picks come out of our program. More important than how many players have been drafted or signed, is the amount of young leaders we have produced. With the thousands of athletes that have came through our program, we are proud that we have put our mark on the numerous doctors, lawyers, husbands, parents, friends and community members.
