What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

No Father's Day

The spay/neuter clinic and shelter medicine team perform 150 male cat neuters for free. In 2017 it was expanded to perform spay surgeries for 50 female cats as well.

Population(s) Served

Group meets the first Tuesday of every month from 7 -8:30 pm at the SPCA of Solano County in the Education Classroom, located at 2200 Peabody Rd, Vacaville, CA 95687. This is a free service but donations are always accepted. Bring a photo of your beloved pet to share. The group will be facilitated by a mental health professional, Bonnie Mader, a pioneer in the field of pet loss and human emotion and the co-founder of the Pet Loss Support Hotline. The first 45 minutes Dr. Kelly Palm, the other co-founder of the Pet Loss Support Hotline will be there to answer medical questions.

Population(s) Served

Established during the Fire Disaster in Santa Rosa and Sonoma in 2017. Donations were brought in and we were able to deliver them to shelters in the affected areas that were in need. We have keep the program going to include individuals who need a little temporary help to feed their pets.
