HOLY RESURRECTION COMMUNITY

Prayer, Hospitality and Evangelization

aka Holy Resurrection Monastery   |   St Nazianz, WI   |  www.hrmonline.org

Mission

We, at Holy Resurrection Monastery, are a community of Byzantine Catholic monks dedicated to the preservation of the Byzantine monastic tradition. This includes liturgical prayer, hospitality, almsgiving, and spiritual direction. We serve the Church and the wider community in many ways. We offer hospitality through our guest house. This offers people a place of respite, needed silence, and time for prayer/reflection. Our doors are always open to everybody. We offer spiritual direction, themed retreats, educational and spiritual talks.

Evangelizing and teaching the faith is of the utmost importance in our times.
What are some ways we do this?

Go out to parishes, prayer and Bible Studies and other organizations to give talks.
Giving parish missions and group retreats locally in the Green Bay Diocese, and in many parishes elsewhere in the United States.
Write for Catholic online and hard copy news outlets.
Work with the Ecumenical Office of the Eparchy of St George in Canton, Ohio and the Diocese of Green Bay to help promote better relations between local churches, Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox.
Worked with numerous outlets (especially EWTN) showing the contributions that an Eastern Catholic Monastery can make in the New Evangelization.

Population(s) Served
Adults

First and foremost is our ministry of prayer. We spend between 4 to 6 hours a day in liturgical community prayer. In addition, we try to pray as much as possible in our hearts ("Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in all things give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you!" (Thess. 5:16-18)

These prayers are for ourselves, the Church and all the world. We receive hundreds of prayer intention requests a month. And we try to remember each one by name and to write down each name in our remembrance books (known as our "Diptychs").
Contact us to find out how to be remembered in our prayers or how to have a loved one remembered.
