Mission Blue Nursery grows plants entirely from seeds and cuttings collected on San Bruno Mountain and provides these for ecosystem restoration projects on the mountain.

The nursery also supplies plants for landscaping projects in local cities including school gardens, backyards, and sustainable streetscapes.

Mission Blue Nursery helps raise awareness about the San Bruno Mountain and its extraordinary and unique flora, promotes drought tolerant and locally adapted landscaping, and contributes extensively to the restoration of habitat for the mountain's endangered species. Plants are grown with the help of community volunteers, engaged in weekly programs.
