ACTORS & OTHERS FOR ANIMALS

aka Actors and Others   |   North Hollywood, CA   |  http://www.actorsandothers.com/

Mission

The mission of Actors and Others for Animals is to eliminate pet overpopulation, ensure good care and protection for pet companions, and provide referral and financial support for economically-challenged pet guardians.

Notes from the nonprofit

We have been in operation for 51 years. A big portion of the pet guardians we serve are under-privileged and under-served. We are there to help everyone as best we can. Many are disabled living only on disability, seniors living on social security, single parents living paycheck to paycheck. Many live in group settings with relatives or friends, and in poorer sections of town. Other animal welfare organizations and veterinarians refer to us. Any feedback we receive that is constructive is always evaluated.
