What we aim to solve
There are an estimated 20-40 million people in slavery today, more than any other time on earth. One of the forms of slavery is sex trafficking which impacts newborns to adults. Men, women, and children from all around the world are affected and reports state that over 60% of human trafficking is located in Asia. The Philippines in particular is known for child trafficking, both in person and online. Children are forced to do sexual acts for an online audience, which is traumatic for people of any age. Our goal is to reach those who are vulnerable to trafficking, those who are currently being trafficked, and those who have been rescued and need to find physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional wholeness. We address this issue in the following three ways: Prevention (education & awareness programs), Outreach (reaching those who are most vulnerable or high risk to becoming trafficked), and Protection (aftercare).
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Prevention Program
This includes reaching children who do not have the chance to attend school by providing them with access to education, teaching ways to protect children, families and adults from becoming victims of sex trafficking, community outreach, workshops, awareness initiatives and more.
We have reached over 13,000 children and families with this program since 2018
We host regular activities and events to reach vulnerable communities.
Big Box Project
With our Big Box Project, we are collecting basic necessities to ship to local organizations and shelters that directly help victims of sex trafficking. We also have reached dozens of vulnerable communities that are in need. We have successfully donated 82 boxes to serve thousands since 2012. We continually have needs for basic need items, so there is always an opportunity to be involved with this!
Outreach
Activities and events to reach families and individuals who are impoverished and extremely vulnerable communities including families struck by natural disasters. This is part of our strategy to reach those who are most commonly exploited and susceptible to becoming victims of sex trafficking.
Rwanda Education Program
We have a partnership with a new startup school in a rural village of Rwanda called Muhozi. This school was built and started by people from a local church in Rwanda. The purpose of this school is to help educate children in that area who normally would not be able to attend school because of poverty and a lack of resources. They also focus on sharing the gospel and teaching the children about Jesus. They now have 4 completed classrooms that serve approximately 127 students. They are in the process of completing two additional classrooms to have more space for the children to learn in adequate conditions. .
Protection (Safe home for boys)
This includes providing a 24/7 residential home to provide safety, nurturement, and a restorative aftercare environment for rescued child sex trafficking and sexual abuse survivors that are in need of a safe home where they are able to receive medical care, counseling, and education to begin or continue their journey towards healing and restoration.
Protection (Safe Home for Girls)
This includes providing a 24/7 residential home to provide safety, nurturement, and a restorative aftercare environment for rescued child sex trafficking and sexual abuse survivors that are in need of a safe home where they are able to receive medical care, counseling, and education to begin or continue their journey towards healing and restoration.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The goals of Regeneration are:
· To protect children from neglect, abuse, and exploitation.
· To provide nurturement, basic needs, counseling, health care, life skill training, and education to those who are at risk or survivors of sex trafficking.
· To create opportunities to learn, grow, and develop the individual gifts of those we serve.
· To promote spiritual growth and to instill moral values.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Regeneration carries out its mission by focusing on these three strategies: Prevention through education for families & communities, outreach to vulnerable communities, and protection for child survivors through aftercare support.
Prevention - This includes reaching children who do not have the chance to attend school by providing them with access to education, teaching ways to protect children, families, and adults from becoming victims of sex trafficking, community outreach, workshops, awareness initiatives, and more.
Outreach - Activities and events to reach vulnerable communities. This includes reaching families and individuals who have been impacted by a natural disaster and are susceptible or vulnerable to exploitation.
Protection - This includes providing a safe, nurturing, and restorative aftercare environment for sex trafficking survivors that are in need of a safe home where they are able to receive medical care, counseling, and education to start or continue their journey towards restoration.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We work with local teams who are passionate about serving those impacted from sex trafficking. We also partner with other organizations, such as organizations that facilitate rescues, so that we may reach more exploited individuals. All of our board members and team members are volunteer based.
We have a home for boys and a home for girls who have been rescued from trafficking and programs to facilitate healing, rehabilitation, and restoration. We are able to cater to siblings who have been rescued and keep them nearby while going through their healing to avoid separation and further trauma.
We also work alongside schools and a church in Rwanda to support Rwandese children living in remote areas with resources who are unable to have an education.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
So far we have been able to:
-Reach over 13,000 children with our various children's outreach programs (Majority held in Manila and Mindoro, Philippines)
Education:
-Host about 25-30 awareness events every month
-Support approximately 620 children in the Philippines and Rwanda with resources to be able to attend school.
Outreach:
-Reach hundreds of women, young men, and children during outreach who were being sold for sex.
-Provide counseling, mentoring, and education for approximately 48 women and children who have been impacted by sex trafficking.
-Serve families in need and those who live on the streets with over 10,000 pounds of rice
-Provide medical care and medicine for 31 children in need.
-Provide food, hygiene packs, and hosted a children's program for 200 children with cancer.
-Give relief packs of food, rice, and hygiene items to 250 families that were impacted by the Covid-19 lockdown in Manila.
-Give relief packs of food and rice to 100 families in Bataan impacted by extreme hunger.
Disaster Relief:
-Provide disaster relief after massive neighborhood fire (food, clothes and hygiene items) for 200 families.
-Provide disaster relief after Taal volcano eruption for those directly impacted (masks, food, transportation, and rice)
-Ship clothes and emergency supplies to Cagayan Valley who experienced extreme flooding.
-Ship 64 boxes of needed supplies to assist organizations and shelters in the Philippines.
Protection:
-In 2021, we built and began operation of a registered & licensed shelter for boys who have been rescued from sex trafficking.
-In 2023, we built and began operation of a registered & licensed shelter for girls who have been rescued from sex trafficking.

- We employ non-traditional ways of gathering feedback on programs and trainings, which may include interviews, roundtables, and external reviews with/by community stakeholders.
- We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
- We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
- We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
