What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
EdGE After School Program
Children in grades K through twelve are helped to gain the skills they need to succeed as students and to build their character and confidence through multi-site in-school, after-school and summer programs. The goal is youth development and family support.
Island Services
Health services, pastoral counseling, worship, recreation and community support and fellowship provided to residents of offshore islands of Mid-Coast and Downeast Maine. These services are provided by the Mission's outreach staff, including a lay minister and an R.N. (registered nurse) traveling on the Mission's ship - the Sunbeam V. Health services are an array of preventive and acute health care services provided through the Mission's highly technical "telemedicine" equipment by the Mission's R.N. working in collaboration with physicians and other medical professionals on the mainland.
Downeast Campus Community Outreach
People in need in Washington County, Maine receive a variety of services operating out of the Mission's Downeast Campus in Cherryfield. The outreach provides services that include a food pantry program, senior companion program and a housing rebuild and weatherization program.
