GATE

The GATE Program prevents trafficking. For vulnerable girls in Northern Thailand. Young girls growing up in this region are particularly vulnerable to being trafficked. Many do not have Thai citizenship and many grow up in impoverished regions:

- We ensure they stay in school by providing educational support like lunch, bus fare, and school supplies. - - We provide this support from a young age until college, giving these girls every opportunity to be what they want.
- We host essential training courses on bullying, online safety, anti-trafficking, and body image- to ensure they are ready to handle the threats they may face and know their self-worth.
- We employ a social worker to work within the family context. She serves as both a mentor and a coach, demonstrating to girls and families that sex work is unnecessary.
- This year, we plan to take the girls on a career tour- introducing them to women in business, taking them to universities, and showing them what is possible.

Before the Vill-Angel Clinic in rural Kenya, community members had little to no options for healthcare. The nearest clinic was far away, and with poor road conditions and floods, sometimes it was impossible to get vital healthcare. The community regularly experiences malaria, pneumonia, and infections. These are all curable diseases, but they can be fatal without healthcare. Working with a local medical practitioner Julius, Angel Covers started the clinic to provide much-needed services in this region.

The Vill Angel Clinic supports a community of over 10,000 people, providing key services every day. Villagers have come to the clinic for HIV treatment, infection prevention, birth delivery, and more. Because the hospital is so far away, many people in the surrounding community will not seek health treatment. This is incredibly dangerous. The Vill Angel Clinic provides vital health services in this rural and remote area.
