Summer Camp for Children/Youth of LGBTQ Families
This is a week-long, residential summer camp session specifically for children and youth (ages 8-17) from LGBTQ and/or non-traditional families. Campers are supported by a loving and engaging community of volunteer staff and other children and youth. They are able to share freely and comfortably about their families without fear of the isolation, harassment, or even violence they may face elsewhere due to homophobia and gender variant phobia. In addition to many traditional summer camp activities --arts & crafts, nature walks, hiking, swimming & swimming lessons, archery, boating, etc.-- campers also benefit from age-appropriate activities, games, and workshops centered around themes of social justice, community building, and addressing oppression & privilege.
Summer Camp for LGBTQA Youth
This is a week-long, residential summer camp session specifically youth (ages 13-17) who are LGBTQA - lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and/or allies to their LGBTQ peers. Campers are supported by a loving and engaging community of volunteer staff and other youth. They are able to be fully themselves without fear of the isolation, harassment, or even violence they may face elsewhere due to homophobia and gender variant phobia. In addition to many traditional summer camp activities --arts & crafts, nature walks, hiking, swimming & swimming lessons, archery, boating, etc.-- campers also benefit from age-appropriate activities, games, and workshops centered around themes of social justice, community building, and addressing oppression & privilege.
