What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Youth Study Abroad for High School & College Students
YFU offers study abroad programs for U.S. high school students or recent graduates who want to experience another part of the world. They can select from a year, semester or summer program that allows them to become immersed in another culture, learn a new language and live with a host family who will open their home and hearts.
Young Adult & Gap Year Programs
Whether a recent graduate, a student who has deferred college admissions, or someone still deciding what’s next, YFU offers young adults, college and volunteer exchange opportunities that allow them to make a difference while gaining a greater understanding of another culture.
Adult Study Tours
YFU Adult Study Tours offer unique group travel opportunities for adults (19+). Participants enjoy set itineraries and group leaders who help ensure they get the most of their short-term exchange experience.
Classroom Excursions
An exciting opportunity for educators and their students to explore unique cultural centers while still experiencing the closeness of a YFU host family for 2-3 weeks over summer break.
Education Select F1 Visa Program For High School Students
YFU offers international high school and college students a unique opportunity to study in the U.S. While on the Education Select F1 program, students may choose to live with a carefully selected host family or, if preferred, students may select a boarding school of their choosing. Academically focused, these programs are a wonderful alternative for students who may not have access to YFU in their home countries but still wish to have the YFU experience.
Summer Cultural & Study Tours to U.S.
YFU offers students from around the globe opportunities to partake in two-week educational adventure to the USA. Students receive project-based English language instruction two days per week and participate in visits to cultural and community sites and events chaperoned by YFU volunteers while spending evenings with their YFU host family.
