Mission

Our mission is to end the use of euthanasia as a means to control animal over population by providing affordable spay/neuter to all pet owners and feral cat caregivers in a safe and humane environment. In addition, we consistently demonstrate the effectiveness of trap/neuter/return services, in hopes that it becomes the only choice for managing homeless cats. Through awareness and availability, we believe people will embrace positive solutions.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Our organization's primary goal it to promote spay/neuter as the most humane method of reducing the number of unwanted companion animals in our area. Also we work to help low income areas of our communities to provide affordable surgery for their pets.

Community outreach, boots-on-the-ground, fundraisers, special programs and grants.

Outreach to all demographics across Louisiana, targeting all cultures represented in the Acadiana area. We have found that each designated culture comes with their own needs when dealing with their families that directly affect their pets. We embrace the Hispanic community by putting more money into advertising, providing bi-lingual admission forms and utilizing bi-lingual volunteers.

Since our spay/neuter numbers are climbing, we are expanding our spay/neuter mission. We have found it necessary to increase our medical team to better support the influx at the facility while exploring options to go into targeted communities with a mobile spay/neuter clinic. With a mobile spay/neuter clinic we can utilize boots-on-the-ground outreach and mobilize during times of man made and natural disasters.
