Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Air Race Classic, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to:

Encouraging and educating current and future women pilots
Increasing public awareness of general aviation
Demonstrating women's roles in aviation
Preserving and promoting the tradition of pioneering women in aviation

The ARC fulfills its mission in many ways, including conferences and trade shows, youth education programs, and culminating with our annual cross-country air race.

As a volunteer-based organization, we rely heavily on volunteers around the country to host the Starts and Termini, en route stops and other hosted events and programs. Celebrating almost 90 years of women air racing, we call upon men and women from all over the United States as well as foreign countries as far away as New Zealand to help us achieve our goals.

Since 2002, we have created a better handicapping system to ensure a more fair race, utilizing technology as it becomes available and affordable. We have increased the number of teams from 37 to 55 and have increased the number of collegiate teams from 4 to 19, effectively introducing air racing to younger and newer pilots. We have flown in 40 states, as well as Canada.
