What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Mentors, Advisors, Peers (MAPs)

MAPs (Mentors, Advisors, Peers) groups are informal meetings of six to ten women who have an interest in discussing topics of common professional interest.

Our program strives to bring together people of different career stages, paths and backgrounds in a professional yet social atmosphere. Members enjoy the program for the diversity of experiences and share their viewpoints and advice on topics ranging from personal challenges to professional goals.

YWIB is a special initiative of WIB, designed to introduce school girls to careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

YWIB creates programs and events geared towards encouraging middle- and high-school girls to consider the life sciences as a career choice. The events ignite girls’ curiosity in biotechnology while nurturing a business and entrepreneurial spirit.

Our Boardroom Ready Program aims to help executive women achieve their goal of corporate board service. We prepare exceptionally qualified WIB members for board service by providing a board certification training, and assistance seeking public and private corporate board opportunities.
