Phase I

Denton Freedom House is a christian discipleship program that gives men the opportunity to overcome addiction. It is a 6 month program, and men receive our services at no cost to them or their families. Upon program completion, we also provide assistance with employment, society reintegration, and rebuilding our surrounding Denton communities.

The mission of Freedom Food Pantry (FFP) is to open our hands wide to the poor beginning with alleviating hunger through the daily distribution of food to those in need, when they are in need, while building hope through sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 1:00-4:00 pm. Clients may visit the pantry daily for food.

FFP is a client choice pantry, setup like a normal grocery store to foster autonomy and dignity among our clients. FFP is ensuring nutritious food access to high risk and vulnerable populations including seniors, children, homeless, low income and displaced workers, and anyone else who declares a need for groceries. We have no limitations on geographic location of residency or any other qualifying standards.

We quickly adapted operations in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of our clients and volunteers. FFP has converted to a drive through pantry service to mitigate risks and adhere to unique restrictions in place. We will also continue to deliver grocery boxes to seniors and home-bound or at-risk populations. This service is an addition to operations and is a direct impact from the actions taken to reduce COVID-19 spreading.
