What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Early Learning Center
Providing high-quality, early childhood education and child care requires skill, commitment to excellence and experience. Family ACCESS offers safe, nurturing child care to help children grow and learn. It is our desire to promote the social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of each child in accordance with his/her individual needs and abilities. At all times, differences in rates of maturity, interest and personality are respected. Our teachers and independent licensed providers are caring professionals; many of whom have worked in our child care program for 10 years or more.
Counseling & Consultation Services
Our family counseling, education and support programs prevent or remedy some of the most serious problems faced by children, teens, and families and are not available elsewhere in the community. These include: Family therapy, addressing a wide variety of counseling issues focused around the needs of children and their families. Parenting education and support through workshops and individual counseling. A home-based early literacy program that provides supports and modeling to help parents strengthen their children's reading and communication skills. Our staff is highly effective at serving families with teen or immigrant parents. Child assault prevention education offers training to help children avoid possibly abusive situations. We also offer parent and community group training on how to recognize abuse and seek help.
Early Literacy Services
Early Literacy Services (ELS) offers low to moderate income and dual-language families home-based and community programs promoting literacy and interactive play. Active in more than 10 communities, ELS improves school readiness for children who may not be enrolled in childcare or pre-school.
Child Assault Prevention
The Child Assault Prevention Program (CAP) teaches elementary children the importance of assertiveness, peer support, and turning to trusted adults for assistance. It empowers young schoolchildren to be “Safe, Strong & Free” and supports teachers to safely address violence against children.
