What we aim to solve
Our core mission, model, and story are evolving, and for very good reason: we have a vision to transform the way the world sees, thinks about, and treats people with disabilities. Our society has evolved in so many ways and for so many people. Our task is to ensure people living with disabilities are not just in their communities, but more importantly are part of their communities. For far too long, expectations have been low and opportunities few for the people we support.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We are a human service agency helping people living with disabilities to have fulfilling lives in their communities. Our work matters because raising expectations and increasing opportunities for people living with disabilities makes them more successful, their families stronger, and our communities better places to be. Our Vision is to create a world in which people with disabilities live with dignity and respect.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
At NuPath we are not afraid to push innovations forward and shed ourselves of the outdated systems that inhibit true and meaningful progress. Our strategies focus on building the capacity and positioning ourselves to deliver essential services within our communities. One major strategy is through the investment in technologies and innovations, including our own trademarked Navigating Life App, to realize greater capacities and efficiencies to connect the people support, their families, and support staff.
In addition, through our Strategic Positioning, we will create capacity for our community programs. We will do this by:
- Refining and expanding innovative programs that are increasingly community based.
- Expanding brand recognition and association for all stakeholders.
- Increase capacity for growth, quality enhancement and program support through an expanded revenue base.
- Provide and develop the staffing talent needed to deliver the highest quality community programs.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
NuPath has a rich history of advancing programs and opportunities for persons living with disabilities in their communities. Our talented team is made up of some of the very best minds in our field with built up institutional knowledge and field expertise. In addition, we have recognized the need to expand our capabilities and have bolstered our team with top talent from technology and marketing and communications fields to advance our mission with innovative ideas, new strategies and innovative inputs. This team is supported by a diverse and experience Board as well as essential connections and partnerships for collaboration, consulting and delivery of the very best outcomes.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Some highlights of our progress include:
- The closing of our sheltered workshops and investment in competitive community employment.
- 10,000 annual training units to directly address the talent of our support staff.
- 95 persons employed in their communities.
- 20 beautiful homes providing the opportunity for over 85 people to enjoy community living.
What's next? These are exciting times and NuPath is at the forefront of many new innovations that will continue to change the world from the perspective of persons living with disabilities in their communities. Our soon to be released Navigating Life App will help peer organizations and families to realize great connectivity, engagement, efficiency and security essential to expand services within the community. We will continue to help people realize opportunities from job placement to community living building confidence, ensuring safety, and strengthening bonds to make our communities better, more inclusive places to be.
