What we aim to solve
NSCH provides excellent care to a diverse patient population with complex medical, social and behavioral health needs. Currently, that care is delivered in facilities that do not match the quality of care provided on the inside. NSCH’s patients and staff deserve updated, efficient and modern facilities. The health center is committed to securing the funding necessary to build and/or lease those facilities beginning with its Salem site. The staff and Board are committed to raising at least $10 million in capital funding to support a new building in Salem. Many of the medical, dental, substance abuse treatment and behavioral health services NSCH provides are reimbursed by health insurance. However, some of these critical services are underfunded. Additionally, NSCH contributes to the health of the communities we serve through many other programs for which there is no reimbursement. An example of this work is care management and treatment for those infected with Hepatitis C (HCV).
