What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
SFTM provides rides on its restored 1896 trolley car to demonstrate transportation systems of 100 years ago. Each ride includes an interpretive talk describing the trolley, the street railway, the restoration process, and answers any questions that the visitors might have. Visitors also can view the other railroad equipment on display and photographs of the early street railway days and other artifacts. Interpretive rides on an antique hand-powered pump car are also available.
Interpretive Trolley Rides
Our trained volunteer crew operates our restored trolley for the public . Rides include a description of local life in the early 20th century, especially as relates to transportation, and a description of how No. 10 was saved and restored.
