Providing Flights of Healing and Hope

aka AFNE   |   North Andover, MA   |  www.angelflightne.org

Mission

Coordinate FREE NON-EMERGENCY MEDICAL AIR TRANSPORTATION for patients to access specialized life-saving medical care that is not available in their geographic area for as long and as often that a patient needs our assistance. These services are not covered by healthcare and many patients have exhausted all financial means so they can not afford to fly commercially or their immune system is compromised.

Notes from the nonprofit

Distance should never be an obstacle for someone to access medical care. We provide our free air transportation services so this is the case and we never turn anyone away. Our volunteer pilots donate their time, planes, fuel and compassion but we also have a full time mission coordination team who works 24x7 ensuring that each flight is made possible. It costs us approximately $500 per flight to coordinate and take any where for 4 to 8 hours. Support is needed to ensure that we can provide our services for as long and as often as a patient needs assistance.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

To ensure that distance is never an obstacle for patients to access life-saving medical care that is not readily available to them. Since our founding, we have coordinated over 100,000 free air transportation and ground missions for patients and companions. Celebrating our 25th year anniversary, our goal is to continue our life-saving free services for the next 25 years.

To partner with more aviation partners and encourage foundations and corporations to assist us to ensure distance is never an obstacle for life-saving care. We are also looking to forge more relationships with rare & ultra-rare disease organizations so we can assist their patients access the specialized care they need.

We complete 10 grants a month and are consistently meeting with potential sponsors. Also, we are actively in discussions with other nonprofits to discuss how we can assist them.

We continue to make inroads with new aviation partners and supporters.
