What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Music Enrichment and Community Building
Fundraising events, football games, concerts, competitions, festivals, and trips are all a part of a robust music program and it takes a small village to put it all together. We have an impact on our public school music program! Here are some recent highlights where we have had an impact:
1. Elementary ukuleles were purchased with the support of a grant to introduce string instruments early in our schools.
2. Sound shells were purchased for the new FHS auditorium.
3. Purchased formal concert attire and marching attire
4. Over $7,500 in private music lesson scholarships are awarded annually.
5. A variety of senior scholarships are awarded every spring.
6. Hire guest conductors and instructors for our middle school and high school ensembles.
7. Concert accompanist for choral and chamber performances.
8. $1,000 annually for wish items for the teachers to use in the classroom.
9. Create "side by side" opportunities for middle school and high school students to perform together.
10. Opportunities to have FHS/MS artist in residence program.
11. Hosts music social events both at the high school and middle school levels fostering a close-knit music community.
12. Transportation to events such as MICCA, Districts, and All-State Festival.
