What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Meat Matters
Antibiotic misuse in animal production is a serious issue. In fall 2013, the Centers for Disease Control described most antibiotic use on industrial farms as “unnecessary and inappropriate,” linking sub-therapeutic antibiotic use in meat production to thousands of human deaths due to antibiotic resistance. Chefs Collaborative partners with the Pew Charitable Trust to bring resources and learning opportunities to chefs.
Sustainable Food Summit
Our annual Summit brings together over 350 chefs and culinary professionals for three days of networking, learning, and hands-on sessions focused on helping America eat better.
Seafood Solutions
Seafood Sustainability has long been a focus of Chefs Collaborative. With the help of our various partners, we bring resources and educational opportunities to chefs and culinary professionals who wish to be involved in the many ways to create a more sustainable fishing industry. These opportunities include Chef Power Hour call-ins on groundfish, previous Trash Fish Dinners, and more.
Good Food Fund
Good food begins with unpolluted air, land, and water, environmentally sustainable farming and fishing, and humane animal husbandry.
The Good Food Fund is a new way to show support for chefs and food professionals who care about sourcing and cooking good food, and are doing their part to help create a better food system.
100% of Good Food Fund proceeds benefit Chefs Collaborative scholarship and education programs to help chefs learn about critical issues in our food system, take action, and leverage their buying power to make an impact in their communities.
By supporting the Good Food Fund, you’re helping to create a better food system.
