Our major programs include:
- This Is What Women Want, a national speak-out for women to reframe the media and political landscape of the 2008 campaign season and address issues that really matter.
-The Women, Action & the Media initiative, which brings together national and international journalists, activists, academics, and others with an interest in amplifying women's voices in the public media;
-Feminism & Dessert, a monthly discussion event creating community around conversation and chocolate;
-centerfornewwords.org, our website, through which we're building a virtual community that mirrors and expands our physical one;
-Community writing programs for homeless and formerly homeless women, women in transition, and teenage girls to express their personal narratives.
-Mouthful Open Mic, building a community of writers and readers that supports women and their allies.
-Events With Authors, your chance to connect with some of the freshest, most talented female writers around. Our authors not only read and discuss their latest books, but engage in spirited conversation with you during our famous Q&A sessions.
