Goals & Strategy

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

Learn about the organization's key goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

To support area cancer patients, family members, and caregivers by providing no cost/low cost support groups and wellness activities

To provide services for those touched by cancer during the entire continuum from diagnosis to end-of-life issues

To educate the general public on the needs of those touched by cancer

To offer no-cost General Cancer, Breast Cancer, and Advanced Cancer Support Groups led by experienced, trained clinicians.

To offer low cost wellness activities, such as Mind/Body Wellness, Polarity/Reiki, Energy Balancing, Creative Writing Workshops, and Healing Meditation Groups, led by experienced, trained clinicians.

The Center for Cancer Support & Education has a deep pool of enthusiastic, trained, and experienced clinicians available to facilitate existing and future support groups and wellness activities. It also has a deep pool of volunteers to help with various activities, as well as a staff consisting of a part-time Office Manager, part-time Director of Outreach, and part-time Director of Development.

Since 2003, we have served more than 1,000 people touched by cancer through our support groups and wellness programs. We have held more than 1100 support group sessions and 450 wellness activities. Our progress goal is to double the number of program participants over the next year through an aggressive Outreach Collaboration Program and generous grant funding.
