What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Paws of Winter

We are committed to senior and special-needs Brussels Griffons
Over time, NBGR has taken in an increasing number of senior and special-needs dogs. Whether they have been abandoned by uncaring owners or puppy mill operators who don’t need them when their breeding days are over -- or they have been surrendered by heartbroken owners who can no longer care for them -- we take them in.

Like us, dogs require increasing medical attention in their senior years; and like us, their medical expenses can soar. The largest expense in the NBGR budget is, by far, the Paws of WinterSM program.

These sweet seniors and special-needs dogs still have a lot of life -- to enjoy, to share with us. It simply costs more to sustain and protect them and their quality of life. We are committed to making that happen for them.
