The Administrataive Assistant Career Development Program

The hallmark program of Saved Hands Foundation is a 8 week, intensive program that prepare the individual for an entry-level position as Support Staff. The Career Development Program consists of a structured learning environment that takes several unique approaches to train participants to pursue careers.

The ultimate goal of the program is to feature classroom instruction in an office-like setting where participants receive individualized hands-on training. This environment gives participants the “feel” of being employed, a key component to helping them ensure a seamless transition into a professional workplace.

Saved Hands Foundation is committed to addressing the issues of equity in homelessness, suicide awareness/prevention and workforce development for citizens of our community. Our partners agree on the need for an awareness campaign to “destigmatize” suicide. Recommendations include building more partnerships among advocates and work closely with policy makers within our region. As we continuously monitor the statistical data of suicides in Prince William County (PWC), the fact still remains, suicide is increasing in our county. Our initiative is to partner with the PWC Crisis Prevention Center's development as well as community continuum committees to initiate positive change.
