What we aim to solve
ICNA Relief USA seeks to alleviate human suffering by providing caring and compassionate service to victims of adversities and survivors of disasters. ICNA Relief USA strives to build healthy communities, strengthen families and create opportunities for those in despair while maintaining their dignity and advocating for their basic human needs. We do this through a national network of food pantries, women's transitional homes, refugee empowerment centers, free clinics, counseling centers, Back 2 School giveaways and disaster relief services.

Refugee Services
The refugee services provide support to the individual and families to achieve self-sufficiency in the United States by providing mentoring, education, preparation for job search & interviews and economical support
Disaster Relief
Disaster Relief
ICNA Relief USA responds to disasters quickly. While previously known for our expertise overseas, we have considerable experience with disasters in the USA. ICNA Relief USA has been recognized by FEMA and NVOAD, and has been funded by the American Red Cross and the September 11th Fund.
ICNA Relief USA Disaster Response Services is currently responding to the needs of survivors of Hurricanes Gustav and Ike, in Louisiana and Texas, and the Spring floods in Tennessee. We are actively planning for the upcoming hurricane season in the Gulf South and along the Atlantic and Pacific seaboards. Volunteers for Disaster Response Teams are being recruited and trained to assist survivors during their time of need.
Women's Transitional Housing
ICNA Relief has 12 running Women's Transitional Housing facilities, which are an alternative for women in need of shelter care. We provide women with a safe environment, allowing them the opportunity to maintain their dignity while working on issues of self sufficiency. Trained case managers work with residents, identifying areas of improvement and linking them to the community resources.
Hunger Prevention
In many ways, America is the land of plenty but Hunger is also a reality for many Americans, even in our own backyards. People in every community face the risk of going hungry. 49 million Americans struggle with hunger, including 17 million children.(http://feedingamerica.org)
ICNA Relief supports a mobile feeding program providing hot meals, food vouchers redeemable at local grocery stores, Rmadan food basket, Zabeeha meat, and emergency help to the homeless and poor. We have food pantries in NY, Boston, Florida, Detroit, Atlanta, NJ, Houston and Chicago distributing food to needy individuals and families.

Muslim Family Services
To create awareness and educate the Muslim community about family issues in America. We provide pre-marriage and marital counseling by religious and professional counselors, represent the Muslim community regarding Islamic and family related issues in the Family Courts and assist in foster parent services and financial support to the needy.
Back to School Giveaway
Each year we give out school bags and supplies to children before the start of the school year. These events are done in lower income neighborhoods across the USA.
Free Health Clinics
ICNA Relief has 6 Free Health Clinics, and also organizes several Health Fairs annually across the USA.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
-To assist and empower underprivileged Americans through sustainable social service programs
-To strengthen the family system through education and value based family services
-To foster effective partnership and coordination with Islamic Centers, faith-based organizations, civic and governmental agencies.

What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
1) Improve the volunteer base and involve them more in the public services area.
2) Organize educational lectures and workshops to educate community.
3) Develop educational program for disaster response and organize lectures in Islamic Centers and Mosques to educate and prepare the community for disaster response.
4) Add more personnel in the area of PR and Fund-raising. These personnel should actively work in the community to inform the community about our program and organize fund-raisers.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
ICNA Relief is serving the Nation with a nationwide network of 2500 registered volunteers, 150 staff members, 20 Transitional Homes for Women and Children, 7 Free Clinics, 4 Mobile Clinics capable of 250 health fairs, 8 counseling centers, 36 food pantries, 270 Distribution locations for Back to School Giveaway, 750 Hot Meal Drives and the perfect blend of services enabling us to respond to disasters in the United States.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
1) We started out with one transitional home in New York and now have a total of 20 nationwide and have opened New Family Shelter in New York.
2) We increased the number of our food pantries from 27 in 2016 to 36 in 2019. More food pantries will be opened in the coming years.
3) We had 4 health clinics in 2016 and now have 7.
4) Since 2005, ICNA Relief has provided relief and support in the wake of 61 disasters in the United States.
5) Over 250,000 free backpacks filled with school supplies have been given to low-income kids nationwide since 2009
6) We will expand our services to the areas we haven't reached yet.
