Patients and their families receive expert, compassionate care through the system’s 305-bed Stamford Hospital; Stamford Health Medical Group; a growing number of ambulatory locations across the region; and support through the Stamford Hospital Foundation.

The Carl & Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center offers a superior level of care to residents of Fairfield and Westchester counties through its relationship with Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center. This comprehensive, ongoing collaboration ensures that our patients will receive world-class, clinical expertise in a convenient and intimate setting.

Our world-class physicians, oncology nurses, oncology navigators, and team of skilled professionals provide the latest in treatment options and supportive services. We are committed to ensuring patient safety and quality care across the organization.

We run thorough screening tests for the following cancers: breast cancer, colorectal cancer, gynecological cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, and skin cancer. Our skilled, multidisciplinary team has experience in treating many types of cancers through medical oncology, surgical oncology, and radiation therapy.

The Department of Research and Discovery provides a broad range of innovative research, educational and funding opportunities that meet the needs of our community and our health care providers through four distinct service lines. The Clinical Trials Office coordinates oncology and non-oncology clinical trials in the hospital, Stamford Health Medical Group and private practice physicians.

The Office of Academic Research supports faculty, resident and nursing original research interests, scholarship, and creative activities. The Center for Simulation and Learning provides simulations to develop safe, innovative, and compassionate approaches to patient care, while strengthening individual clinical skills, team collaboration and communication to improve systems and processes. The Office of Grants manages securement of grant awards for research, program and curriculum development, and health and wellness services focused on the needs of our communities.

Our state-of-the-art radiology department effectively diagnoses, monitors, and treats disease. Equipped with the most advanced medical diagnostic imaging and treatment technology, our team of imaging technologists have specialized certifications in their area of expertise. Making an appointment is easier than ever – mammograms do not require a referral; while X-rays can be accommodated via walk-in appointments.

Stamford Health’s radiology professionals are dedicated to providing the best in imaging quality, and service excellence by obtaining the highest level of credentialing through the American College of Radiology in the following modalities: MRI, PET/CT scan and nuclear medicine, X-ray, interventional radiology, ultrasound, mammography, CT/CAT scan, and bone density scan.
