What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Lake Management and Treatment
The CLCS employs a professional limnologist as well as the services of SOLitude Lake Management, a professional lake management company. • This annual lake treatment protocol development encompasses water quality assessment, aquatic weed and algae control, erosion and shoreline management, lake mapping and bathymetry, and maintenance and preservation of the surrounding watershed. It is funded solely by the contributions of our members.
Homeowner Grant Program
Through its Grant Program, the Copake Lake Conservation Society will provide financial assistance of 50% of the project cost, up to $5000 for approved homeowner or homeowner association projects. The primary objective of these approved projects must clearly demonstrate support of the Copake Lake Conservation Society mission: to protect the quality of the Copake Lake watershed, preserve the ecological balance, and promote safe recreational use of the lake.
