What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Regional Hospice end-of-life care and bereavement support

Hospice Program for patients of all ages with life-limiting illness. We provide residential support in patients' homes, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facilities and in our residential Center for Comfort Care & Healing.

In addition to providing the best in hospice care to our patients, we provide a safe place for families and the surrounding community to grieve in our Healing Hearts Program for Grief & Loss. Since 1995, we have welcomed any individual or family who has lost a loved one. Adults and children receive emotional support from Regional Hospice social workers, trained volunteers, and peers who are grieving too. Most recently, we have offered virtual support services to the families and loved ones of COVID19 victims. The only program of its kind to serve Western Connecticut and funded entirely by donations, Healing Hearts offers bereavement services through more than 30 different programs, including two support and social groups, workshops, and memorial events to children and caregivers who are grieving.
