Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
By increasing our audience, we will increase revenues, expand education programs and promote interactive programs and special events.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We will continue to reach out to the public through press releases, community relations, Boards of Education, social and civic organizations, etc. by increasing our communication circles, developing programs relevant to the mission of the museum.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
The WHVM&LC has a strong base of Board and general members with very specific skills and abilities. We are also in the process of addressing the overall organization structure and growth from the fiscal, managerial, operational aspects.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
In the past two years we have recruited volunteers with very specific, well-defined skills that will help us attain those goals. These volunteers have military and/or professional backgrounds in all aspects of development. We have moved from having one major special event per year to several different events per year, extended scheduled tours, an improved website, FaceBook and YouTube exposure, and fostering relationships with military organizations.
