Mission

We are a scientific research institute focusing on the use of brain imaging as a tool for improving treatments for and early diagnosis of neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson disease, Alzheimer disease, and other neurodegenerative disorders. Our ultimate goal is to end the suffering of individuals and their children through increased understanding and better treatments. We believe that one day it will be possible to stop, reverse and prevent the onset of neurodegenerative disorders. All our efforts are designed to bring that day closer.

Our programs

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Our trials focus on the development of diagnostic tools for Parkinson disease(PD), Alzheimer disease (AD) and many others. IND focuses on the use of brain imaging technology as a method to develop new ways to diagnose and monitor these diseases. IND scientists believe that brain imaging holds the key to helping understand the causes of these diseases and that in the very near future the tools we develop will help doctors quickly diagnose their presence, even before the onset of symptoms. It will then be possible to begin treatment earlier, which may then delay the onset and eventually eradicate such diseases. Another goal of IND's brain imaging programs is to speed the development of new medications.
