What we aim to solve
Everyday, millions of people who are curious about Jesus are on the internet from all over the world. They have questions and misunderstandings about who Jesus really is. As a result, they live without the hope, love, and life that He offers.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Internet Evangelism
In 2003, Dr. Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade for Christ (now CRU), helped establish what is now JesusOnline Ministries.
Since that time, there have been over 259 million website visits from people around the world who desired to know more about Jesus.
Every day, in 2022, about 172,000 people from 190 countries encountered Jesus on one of JesusOnline’s 21 websites. And, every day, about 5,600 people committed their lives to Jesus — totaling 2,058,712 people deciding to follow Christ.
JesusOnline.com contains numerous evangelistic articles and videos to reach people for Christ. Our highest performing video, “Jesus’ Resurrection and You,” summarizes the evidence for the resurrection of Jesus and then explains how to receive the forgiveness and new life He offers.
By God’s grace, it only takes ONE DOLLAR to share the truth about Jesus with 30 people and see ONE PERSON express saving faith in Christ or rededicate their life to Him.
Persuasive Apologetics
JesusOnline Ministries delivers reasons to believe in Jesus to people all over the world on the internet. But with so many false claims being promoted about Christ, it’s no wonder people are confused or don’t think He is relevant to their lives.
Jesus asked his disciples, “Who do people say that I am?” Today people still have questions and misunderstandings about who Jesus really is. Questions like: “Was Jesus a real person?” — “Is Jesus God?” — “Did Jesus rise from the dead?”
Y-Jesus.com provides persuasive answers to these questions and many others related to the true identity of Christ in 20 different languages.
By freeing people from lies, doubts, and misconceptions—we gently move them toward a clear, more comprehensive understanding of who Jesus is. This way, they can develop a more meaningful relationship with Him and discover His purpose for their lives.
Online Discipleship
When people make a decision to follow Jesus, we offer them the opportunity to go deeper in their relationship with Him. We encourage them to access our JO Discipleship App and join the app community where our discipleship team will help them grow in their faith.
The JO App is full of resources including the full NET bible, devotionals, downloadable books, and a prayer community. There is even a direct messaging feature so that people with questions can reach out to our Discipleship Pastor, Jonathan Kobayashi, and his team of volunteers.
The discipleship team also replies to emails from website visitors with personal responses and a free discipleship e-book, “The Adventure of Living with Jesus.”
Since the launch of the JO App in 2020, more than one million people have accessed the app. (See app.jesusonline.com).
Equipping Pastors and Disciplers
JesusOnline Ministries equips the church globally (individuals, missionaries, and pastors) by providing free, downloadable discipleship materials, online Bibles, and other Christ-centered resources. Thousands of these resources have been provided to seekers, believers, and Christian leaders.
While many resources are available on the JOM websites, the JO Discipleship App contains even more. Pastors and missionaries have expressed how the JO App has helped them in to fuel their ministries.
For example, Pastor Sokoro uses the JO Discipleship App to train hundreds of pastors of churches planted in Southeastern Africa. The app has greatly helped him in his preaching and teaching ministry. He accesses the app almost daily.
Although Pastor Sokoro went to college and has a Diploma in Theology, he finds the app articles to be more practical and engaging for the young pastors that he mentors. He downloads article PDFs, prints them and is even translating some into local languages.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
JesusOnline Ministries uses internet technologies to help people around the world discover who Jesus really is, receive Him as Lord and Savior, follow Him through personal online discipleship, and share Him with others.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
JesusOnline Ministries is a global leader in using internet advertising to give people reasons to believe in Jesus.
JesusOnline uses a proven 4-step strategy to reach people for Christ on every continent.
Step 1. We advertise questions people are asking about Jesus.
Step 2. People click the ads that link to compelling gospel articles and videos.
Step 3. They discover answers revealing Jesus’ true identity and the life He offers.
Step 4. We follow up with those who respond and encourage them to join our app community. Then our Discipleship Pastor and his team of volunteers help members cultivate their relationship with Jesus.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
JesusOnline Ministries has hundreds of articles and videos that help people understand who Jesus really is, why it is important to begin a personal relationship with Him, and how to grow spiritually in the Christian Faith. Some of this content has been translated into 19 other languages and made available on separate websites.
With almost two decades of experience, JesusOnline has become highly proficient in the use of online advertising to attract internet users to spiritual content that relates to their interests and needs.
Although JOM only has five employees, many services are performed by outside contractors such as To The New, a global company with 1,200 employees who specialize in providing a wide range of digital services.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Since 2006, JesusOnline Ministries has had more than 250 million visits to 21 websites with more than 5 million indicated decisions to follow Christ from people in 190 countries. To date, there have been more than 500,000 JO Discipleship App users.
During the past several years, the JesusOnline outreach has sky-rocketed, growing from 11.5 million website visits in 2019 to 63 million visits in 2022.
Our vision is to have one billion website visits by 2030, providing persuasive reasons to believe in Jesus. As a result, we hope to see 30 million people decide to become followers of Christ.

- We review compensation data across the organization (and by staff levels) to identify disparities by race.
- We employ non-traditional ways of gathering feedback on programs and trainings, which may include interviews, roundtables, and external reviews with/by community stakeholders.
- We disaggregate data by demographics, including race, in every policy and program measured.
- We have long-term strategic plans and measurable goals for creating a culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
- We have a promotion process that anticipates and mitigates implicit and explicit biases about people of color serving in leadership positions.
- We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
