Education That Works
The ETW program is a corporate internship program that is fully integrated into the curriculum at Memphis Catholic High School. Through this innovative program, Memphis Catholic students' educations are extended beyond the classroom to include real-world, corporate internships, which provide a unique opportunity for students to connect their current educational experience with the real-world professional experience they will encounter today, in college, and beyond.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our organization's overarching goal is to prepare students to become all that God created them to be. Because our schools operate in some of Memphis' most economically disadvantaged neighborhoods, we are uniquely positioned to combat and even reverse the achievement gap. Our impact allows us to help students regardless of race, socioeconomic status, and religion effect positive change in their own lives, the lives of their family, and within their community. To achieve this lasting social impact, the Jubilee Catholic Schools Network has adopted the following goals for the next five year period: Schools will strengthen their Catholic identity.Students will possess the gifts of the Holy Spirit: wisdom, understanding, counsel, knowledge, fortitude, piety, and fear on the Lord.100% of religion teachers will have proper Diocesan certification. All schools will increase integration of Gospel values, faith and moral development, and respect for religious and cultural differences.Schools will become more strongly connected to their Parishes.Students will learn at exceptionally high levels.By the end of 8th grade, students will average in the 66th NCE (77th percentile) on the Iowa Assessment for reading and math.By the end of 6th grade, students will average in the 60th NCE (68th percentile) on the Iowa Assessment for reading and math.According to the classroom observation rubric, 100% of Jubilee classrooms will be classified at least "Good" and the average of all classes combined will be "Excellent" in terms of academic rigor, student engagement, and physical environment. The long-term sustainability of the Jubilee Schools will be ensured. The Development team will create a sustainable revenue base through a robust annual fund made up of generous and ample donors. The Development team will raise $1.9 million from donors in the 2015-2016 fiscal year and increase annually by $500,000.The Development team will raise $900,000 in Major Gifts through increased face-to-face solicitations. The Operations team will maximize tuition income through increased enrollment and improved tuition collection. Our schools will maximize enrollment and operate at capacity. All schools will be at full capacity by the 2018-2019 school year. The Jubilee Leadership team will establish an effective and efficient infrastructure to support the network's schools.Schools will receive exceptional support in tuition collection, budgeting, and program and facilities maintenance.A new Board of Directors will govern the Network and establish key focus areas.Principals and teachers from all schools will receive regular communications about major accomplishments, network events, and announcements pertaining to any schools within the network.

What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
The Jubilee Catholic Schools Network is built on a strong foundation of experienced and effective staff, committed families, and generous donors. The Jubilee Support Office unites experienced and dedicated professionals under the direction of Dr. David Hill. Through their expertise in management, budgeting, development, communications, local and federal nutrition and funding guidelines, academic content, and best teaching practices, the Jubilee Support Office is able to create an environment conducive to excellent teaching and learning. Their work ensures that Jubilee Schools provide the best impact to the largest number of students possible. In addition, Jubilee Catholic Schools are attended by families who are both appreciative of and committed to the Jubilee mission. 54% of parents choose Jubilee first and foremost for the faith-based/Catholic learning environment, and 32% choose it for its excellent reputation. Our parents sign a pledge at the beginning of each school year promising to be an active participant in their child's education. This partnership allows all attending families to get the most out of a Jubilee education. Finally, Jubilee would not be where it is today without its loyal and generous donors. Partnerships with the Hyde Family Foundations and several anonymous donors have allowed the Jubilee Schools to thrive and flourish. While we are grateful for our donors, we are also committed to developing a broader base for our fundraising efforts. Through improved donor identification and solicitation, we hope to ensure Jubilee's future for many years to come.
