What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

To provide education to children in rural and tribal areas of India

The main objective of AIM for Seva is to provide education for less privileged children in rural and tribal areas of India. This is done by building and running residential student homes called Free Student Homes (FSHs) near established schools, making it a practical and cost effective way to increase the access of children to education. FSHs provide children with favorable living conditions to pursue and complete their studies, solve the problem of long commutes, enables the children to attend classes regularly, and safeguard them. Children in FSHs are provided with nutritious food, clothing, study, play materials and full medical care, and most of all love, respect and love of a home. All free of cost.

AIM for Seva is operating 125 projects across the country. The projects are completely funded through individual and corporate donors,

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

uality education The main objective of AIM for Seva is to provide education for less privileged children in rural and tribal areas of India. This is done by building and running residential student homes called Free Student Homes (FSH) near established schools, making it a practical and cost effective way to increase the access of children to education. FSH provide children with favourable living conditions to pursue and complete their studies, solves the problem of long commute, enables the children to attend classes regularly, and safeguard them from being used for petty jobs by family members. Children in FSH are provided with nutritious food, clothing, study, play materials and full medical care, all free of cost. 2)AIM for Seva also operates 9 schools, where government or privately run schools are unable to provide appropriate education due to problem of unavailability of teachers, insufficient financial resources, poor equipment and inadequate infrastructure.
3)AIM for Seva also administers the Swami Dayananda Educational Trust which includes the Swami Dayananda College of Arts and Science, in Manjakkudi, Tamil Nadu which provides education to the people living in the rural delta region of Tiruvarur district. A rural BPO run in partnership with WIPRO BPO Ltd provides local opportunities for students.
4)AIM for Seva is highly committed to safeguarding Indian cultural values, and to increase the understanding of the meaning of the country's cultural forms. This helps the people to integrate with the outside world without loosing their valuable cultural traditions.

Apart from expanding the network, AIM for Seva will focus on three objectives:

All-round development of children, their excellence in academics, personality and character building. The Art of Development project which has completed the pilot phase, to tap the creative abilities of the children, will be expanded in a phased manner to all project locations.

In keeping with the organization's philosophy of living in harmony with nature, all FSH will be made environment friendly. Integration of solar energy and organic farming practices from captive biogas plants will be introduced.

Through distance learning and innovative learning methodologies, learning will be made more student-centric, in all our project areas.

With help for all the generous donors we are able to meet our goals for each FSH.

We have some great news to share!

In 2016, 113 students from AIM for Seva's Free Student Hostels went on to pursue college education; 44 students have enrolled for diploma courses. We are also happy to share that at the beginning of this year, AIM for Seva has been awarded a Four Star rating by Charity Navigator, America's largest independent charity evaluator.

While there are many more milestones to be achieved, we are extremely thankful to the unstinting support of our well wishers, volunteers and donors who have showcased goodness in various ways.
