Congregation Zemach David

aka Ezras Mitzor   |   Airmont, NY   |  www.ezrasmitzor.org

Mission

Ezras Mitzor provides assistance to needy families. A family’s circumstances are carefully reviewed by Rabbi Rubin in consultation with prominent community members and other clergymen. Assistance is given in the form of either an outright cash allowance or by making a payment to a third party provider. For example, the organization has paid medical bills for sick parties, supermarket bills for food for families who cannot afford these expenses, mortgage payments for individuals who might be facing forclosure actions, tuition payments to schools for students who are being faced with expulsion because their parents can no longer afford to send them to school, clothing store bills where children need new clothes, and in a not so rare occurrence, funeral bills when a family could not afford to bury a loved one. further the organization may help someone obtain job training or counseling for a new position where an individual has been laid off by his employer.

Goals & Strategy

Learn about the organization's key goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

To assist people in need, and help kids with a bright future, and save families from distress, sometimes a little money goes very far, our goal is to assist as many people change their lives for the better.

Working with the families on a case by case basis. And working with businesses and donors to see what can be done to find them jobs and assist them based on their needs

We are capable and we have proven over the past 18 years where we took people from jobless and foreclosure to successful business owners

We have seen success in every aspect, but if we would have more money we would be able to deliver perishable foods to these families on a weekly basis
