Not Knowing, Bearing Witness, Taking Action

aka Zen Peacemakers   |   New York, NY   |  www.zenpeacemakers.org

Mission

Zen Peacemakers International connects, inspires, supports and trains, peacemakers throughout the world who practice meditation, embody the Three Tenets of the Zen Peacemakers (Not Knowing, Bearing Witness, Taking Action), live an ethical life, and do social action as a path of awakening and service. ZPI conducts the transformational multi-faith, multi-national Bearing Witness Programs in places of genocide to address global and communal suffering, such as in Auschwitz-Birkenau, Rwanda and with the Native Americans. Zen Peacemakers continue the robust legacy established by founder Zen Master and social entrepreneur Roshi Bernie Glassman.
