Mission

Covenant House New York is the largest provider of shelter and services to youth experiencing homelessness in New York City. We provide immediate shelter, food and clothing, as well as health, wellness, and employment counseling. Covenant House New York also operates a Federally Qualified Health Clinic, vocational programming, and many other vital services for young people in need.

Our Welcome Center and Youth Shelter provides basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter to young people with nowhere else to go, as well as a dedicated program for mothers and their young children.

Our Rights of Passage Program is a transitional living program that helps young people, including mothers with young children, build independent living skills and transition to safe independent housing.

Our Outreach and Drop-In Center covers target areas where homeless or at-risk youth are likely to congregate. Covenant House builds positive relationships with youth living on the streets and who are at risk of being exploited. The staff transports young people to our drop-in center and refers them to resources and provides them with immediate shelter.
