Mission

Shorewalkers is a non-profit group dedicated to promoting and preserving New York City's surrounding shores. Shorewalkers support all efforts to build and maintain open spaces along our public waterways, educate people about the waterfront, and promote good health through walking. The group's premier event, THE GREAT SAUNTER, is a 32 mile walk around the rim of Manhattan and is the longest urban walk in the United States.
