Early Childhood Outpatient Services

The Early Childhood Mental Health Center serves children ages 0-7 with behavioral health issues, to ensure they can develop and thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Bowen Center’s Food Pantry program provides emergency food relief for individuals who are experiencing financial difficulties and are in need of food.

The Emma L. Bowen Community Services Center Therapeutic Preschool program works with preschool children aged 3-5 with emotional and behavioral difficulties and cognitive and language delays in smaller classroom settings.

The Adult Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic is the Center’s largest department, with a census of more than 1,500 patients each month. Our highly-trained staff of bilingual behavioral health professionals, including psychiatrists, licensed social workers, and nurses, provide mental health assessments, psychiatric evaluations, individual psychotherapy, medication management, and health monitoring services.

The Emma L. Bowen Community Service Center Addiction Treatment Services provides a holistic approach to treatment, offering individual, group, and family counseling. Our dedicated staff helps individuals develop positive coping skills, recognize reasons for relapse, decrease self-destructive and at-risk behaviors, build self-esteem, and improve family relationships. We also offer psychiatric evaluations and medication management.

The Bowen Center’s Care Management team helps clients, those who are homebound, frail, elderly, and isolated to connect with the services we offer. Our care managers serve as advocates for our patients, connecting them to needed services such as physicians, nutritional services, behavioral health services, entitlements and benefits, food stamps, housing, legal services, and rehabilitation services.
