What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

International Paper Classroom Program

Each spring, International Paper facilities across the US sponsor early elementary classrooms to receive live caterpillars that transform into butterflies and sunflower seeds to grow into beautiful flowers. More than 150,000 children in 6,000 classrooms participate in recent years. The students learn to love & protect all of the creatures on the Earth, and get an important boost in STEM lessons.

Serving elementary students in central and northern New Mexico
Each spring, elementary schools in Santa Fe, Espanola Valley, Albuquerque and Rio Rancho receive live caterpillars that transform into butterflies and sunflower seeds to grow into beautiful flowers. More than 5,000 children in 250 classrooms participate in recent years. The students learn to love & protect all of the creatures on the Earth, and get an important boost in STEM lessons.
