Goals & Strategy
Learn about the organization's key goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress.
Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our goals are to assist students in qualifying for admission to college and succeeding in college and, for those not attending college, obtaining the skills necessary for success in whatever occupation they select.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our strategies include mentoring of students, providing summer scholarships to Syracuse University and conducting college visits.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our SU Mentor Mentee Alliance (SUMMA) is the largest mentoring program in New York City. We conduct workshops in college essay writing, resume writing and interview preparation for juniors at the high school.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
An increasing number of students have been admitted to Syracuse University and other selective colleges. Once there, they have gone on to graduate in increasing numbers.
