What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Christmas in April has a National Rebuilding Day every year, usually on the last Saturday in April. In 2000, over 7,100 homes and non-profit facilities will be rehabilitated, with the help of over 231,000 volunteers. Many of these programs are able to offer community rehabilitation events year-round. Christmas in April USA offers regional workshops to train and prepare the 245 affiliates, and also prepares an annual conference which acts as a forum for discussion and idea exchanges. Manuals on fund-raising, board building, and beginning an affiliate, as well as providing supplies such as brochures and bumper stickers to increase visibility are made available to all affiliates. Christmas in April USA works in partnership with the NFL to hold a "Kickoff to Rebuild" every year in the city of the Super Bowl, allowing players, coaches, and celebrities to gather and help a community while drawing attention to the increasing problem of low-income housing. Christmas in April USA actively seeks pass-through grants for affiliate offices, and awards grant money to affiliates every year that excel in management skills and spreading the spirit of Christmas in April.
