What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Financial Literacy Certification

The W!se Financial Literacy Certification program gives high schools in 48 states the curriculum, resources and professional development so that they can provide world class personal finance instruction and the opportunity for their students to become Certified Financially Literate (CFL™) by passing the nationally standardized W!se Financial Literacy Certification Test.

Population(s) Served

Personal finance instructors have the opportunity for a Certification in Personal Finance (CPF™) by taking and passing the rigorous Certification in Personal Finance Test. This exam is generally administered in collaboration with partners including Departments of Education nationally.

Population(s) Served

W!se provides domestic violence survivors a pathway to financial independence through 10-12 week courses on personal finance, which culminate in a financial literacy certification test. Survivors who pass become Certified Financially Literate (CFL™), a credential that helps them at their jobs and in their search for work.

Population(s) Served

A youth development college readiness and research program, W!se invites high school students to be social entrepreneurs and to make a difference. They identify a quality of life issue, conduct research, and develop a proposal with solutions that they implement. Proposals compete for scholarships.

Population(s) Served

The W!se Institute offers students an intensive college level experience of internships and seminars - developing college ready students with employable talents. In 2016, the Institute added the groundbreaking Engineered Green Economics (EGE) initiative, an educational approach to preparing future talent to promote sustainability.

Population(s) Served

A national program for 9th and 10th grade students, the Euro Challenge aims to increase students' knowledge of the Euro Area and its single currency, the euro. W!se has been the national coordinator since 2006 on behalf of the Delegation of the European Union to the U.S.
