What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

Though based in Louisiana, Sundown is now expanding into Texas (Baytown & Cleveland) where, in certain areas, there are no spay&neuter clinics, no rescues with extra room, and no Animal Control available. Nothing! DOgs are dead on the side of the road, babies hiding beneath them for shelter, broken limbs, fleas & ticks, heartworms, etc. We are urgently trying to provide daily food while we quickly work with local vets to implement spay&neuter programs and EMR care so these animals can be properly treated and adopted into loving homes. We are now gathering committees to get this done.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We are looking to implement permanent spay & neuter programs, feeding programs, shelter sites, and adoptions to keep the overpopulation in these communities under better control.

1. Bringing in daily food to address starvation.
2. Working with local vets to implement much-needed spay&neuter programs.
3. Bringing in doghouses for temporary shelter from elements.
4. Providing proper vaccines.
5. Adopting into permanent homes.

We are already utilizing these strategies in Louisiana and are experiencing good success.

Our organization is fully staffed with highly qualified animal caregivers and business owners/executives who have decades of experience and skill under their belts. Our foundation is also certified in Nature Conservation, WIldlife Management, & Zoology.

Within the last several months alone, we have provided food and shelter to countless homeless animals, provided spay&neuters, and have placed many in permanent new homes, removing them from a horrible life on the streets.

With round-the-clock volunteers, expert business leaders on the Board, growing support in the field, we continue to set and meet the goals required by our foundation each year.
