Mission

Blue Faery's mission is to prevent, treat and cure primary liver cancer, specifically Hepatocellular Carcinoma, through research, education and advocacy. Our work will improve the quality of life for HCC patients, support their caregivers and give them hope, information and a voice.

HCC Patient Education Brochure

Our HCC Patient Education Brochure, the first of its kinds, contains answers to some of the more common questions asked by newly diagnosed HCC patients. The brochure is free to patients, their families and their healthcare providers. It has been translated into multiple languages and has been distributed in numerous treatment centers nationwide.

In 2009, Blue Faery started the Blue Faery Award (BFA) for Excellence in Liver Cancer Research. This annual award honors a researcher who has made significant contributions in the advancement of scientific knowledge in the diagnosis, treatment, prevention or understanding of liver cancer. The BFA is announced every year on Adrienne Wilson's birthday--April 8.

The Adrienne Wilson Spirit Award (AWSA) is specifically designed for patients diagnosed with Hepatocellular Carcinoma. Blue Faery created the AWSA to recognize patients who share Adrienne Wilson's spirit, strength and courage. Therefore, we look for patients who are advocates for themselves as well as others during their fight against liver cancer.
