RECAP’s range of programming is designed to move low-income participants to self-sufficiency.
Weatherization
Helping residents reduce energy costs and improve the safety of their homes through repair, modification or replacements of home elements.
Energy Conservation
An umbrella of programs to increase energy efficiency and make homes more accessible.
Orange County Fuel Fund
Part of RECAP’s Energy Initiatives Program, the Orange County Fuel Fund provides payments to home heating providers to help families overcome short-term financial hardships.
Head Start
Comprehensive early learning for children age 3-5 in Middletown, Scotchtown and Port Jervis.
Nutrition & Advocacy
Food pantry, daily breads and cakes, annual Thanksgiving drive, and assistance with translations and applications.
Supportive Housing
Local residences and rental assistance for seniors and people with disabilities.
TRUST Center
An OASAS-licensed outpatient center specializing in chemical dependency treatment.
New Life Manor
An OASAS-licensed halfway house specializing in chemical dependency treatment.
Fresh Start Cafe
Job readiness training for long-term welfare recipients in restaurants serving the public.
Orange County Reentry
Facilitating and supporting the needs of men and women transitioning from incarceration to successful community citizenship.
Neighborhood Preservation
A range of community improvement efforts focusing on the area’s housing needs.
Newburgh Services
Nutrition and advocacy, translations, social services navigation assistance, help locating forms, emergency food supplies and more.
