Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

The mission of the Northeast Kidney Foundation is to improve the quality of life of those affected by kidney disease and related conditions by early identification, intervention and prevention; to promote organ donation; and to empower those we serve to be an effective voice for better healthcare at the local, state and federal levels. We accomplish our mission through multi faceted community programs including those that:

* provide direct assistance to patients
* educate healthcare professionals, patients and the general public
* shape health policy
* increase organ donation
* raise awareness

The following are a few of the programs and services provided from our local NeKF office to the kidney community throughout the Northeast Region:
- Provide up-to-date, critical Kidney Information and Literature
- Offer "Kidney Club" Support Groups throughout the region
- Fulfill Emergency Grants, Transportation Subsidies, and provide Nutrition Supplements free of charge to those who qualify
- Offer Kidneys in the Classroom series to local schools and youth programs
- Representation at Local Health Fairs
