Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
School programs
Offer school classes the opportunity to see a live, wild bird and learn about the bird's habits and habitat, ask questions, and enjoy a history about this particular bird and its habitat.
Tourist venues
Visitors to Alaska can learn about Alaska's resident and migratory birds and see a live wild education ambassador they may never see in the wild. The bird's handler will answer questions about the bird featured in the program and its habitat.
Special celebrations and events
At State Fair, public events, and holiday celebrations, persons walking by can view the Education ambassador birds and can learn more about these interesting birds and the habitats where they reside.
Private parties
Birthday parties, special occasions may request an education program for guests to enjoy a unique celebration by having a wild bird ambassador at their event
Rehabilitation and care of injured birds
Injured birds are brought to us for care and release. Skilled volunteers perform medical care under the supervision of licensed veterinarians. Large or dangerous birds may be rescued by our specially trained volunteers using safe procedures and equipment.
