Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Education Success Foundation is helping our community’s most vulnerable children succeed in school – and in life.

Our current fundraising campaign is focused on a new, holistic program to clear the path to academic success for students and families living in poverty.

We have launched a groundbreaking, holistic approach that combines education with health and social services to help vulnerable children and their families achieve academic success. Our initiative has three parts:

Integrating "Family Navigators": Our Family Navigators are committed professionals who help students and families navigate systems and programs by serving as a single-point-of-access in a confusing landscape of services.

Increasing Academic Support: To support achievement and graduation for at risk-students, we are deepening the impact of our academic services. This means layers services to serve students in multiple programs, extending services to students' families, and becoming a year-round learning and support resource.

Providing Professional and Family Training: Through skill-building, mentoring, and trainings, we’re increasing the capacities and resources of students, families - and also educators- at Discovery Charter School, Enrico Fermi School #17, Exploration Elementary Charter School for Science and Technology, and the EnCompass Neighborhood Arts program.

True Educational Opportunity requires students, parents, and teachers have access to high quality academic choices. We enhance education for all by collaborating with schools and communities to foster viable, high quality options. Through our programs and 40+ partnerships, we reach over 2,400 Rochester area students.

EnCompass: Resources For Learning - EnCompass is our premier provider of services for students and families, including afterschool and summer learning programs, school day intervention, family navigation and surround supports, family capacity building, and professional development. Each year, EnCompass serves more than 2,300 children grades K-12 with demonstrated success.

The Norman Howard School -Our legacy organization is The Norman Howard School – a private, special education school- which provides learning disabilities support for more than 100 children (grades 5 – 12) every year. The Norman Howard School has a 99% graduation rate.

71% of EnCompass students improved in reading (2016-17)
84% below grade level readers avoided summer slide (RCSD Summer Learning 2017)
83% of year-three Encompass Compressed Credit Recovery students graduated on time (Quest program w/ UR East High 2017-18)
70% pf foster care students avoided summer slide (Monroe County - RCSD partnership 2016-17)
99% of families would recommend EnCompass programs (2017)
