Mission

The mission of American Aid for Children of Nineveh Iraq (AA-CNI) is to improve living conditions including access and quality of primary and secondary education for orphan, fatherless and street children living in the Nineveh region of Iraq. Working as IraqKids.org, we inform and educate others about conditions facing these children. AA-CNI's primary goal is to provide educational supplies to meet the needs of these children enabling their return to school. Return to school is mandatory for all children being assisted. Additionally, IraqKids.org provides assistance to schools in the Nineveh Iraq area that lack items needed to educate their students such as classroom equipment, supplies, desks and notebooks. We do not supply textbooks or tracts.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

AA-CNI has three operating programs: the art outreach program distributes art supplies to schools--who in turn send some art projects for a traveling display to increase awareness; the Sponsor a School Project assisting schools lacking basic supplies and equipment needed to educate their students and a Project to Establish a shelter for homeless street children. As part of the shelter project, we strive to find medical care for those with needs greater than can be ministered to in Iraq.

The bulk of our operating programs are supported through the volunteer actions of individual Americans and American school children.
